集叢項
根據英美編目規則第二版的定義, 在三種情況下, 需於集叢項處理該等事實:
若干獨立的作品, 除了自己的題名之外, 還有一個適用於它們全體的共同題名, 這些作品是否編號並不重要; (有書目意義記錄下來)
論文、演講集、專論、或其他作品, 裝訂成多冊的外觀, 彼此之間具有相同的特色, 且依序發行, 商務印書館的人人文庫, 是其中一例;
- 在集叢或連續性出版品之內, 獨立編號的一群作品, Notes and queries, 1st series, 2nd series ... 等, 是其中一例;
(集叢裡有獨立編號<集叢裡有集叢>，須特別注意)
◆手稿沒有集叢的事實, 善本圖書是圖書的一種
善本圖書:相對性而言以前的書，大都指線裝書
除了手稿之外, 各種資料類型的集叢項, 都必須著錄七個細目(1.6):
- 集叢正題名, Title proper of series
- 集叢並列題名, Parallel titles of series
- 集叢副題名, Other title information of series
- 集叢著者敘述, Statements of responsibility relating to series
- 集叢之國際標準叢刊號碼, ISSN of series
- 集叢號, Numbering within series
- 附屬集叢, Subseries
◇有就通通著錄，不能少! 沒有就沒有。

歐洲文藝復興以前的手稿，還應著錄下列五件事情
1.字體
2.插畫、裝飾、標題等重要的插畫，都應著錄
3.校勘結果，著錄空白頁、受損、遺失的頁碼等
4.其他稽核事宜，著錄收藏者的註記、裝訂情況等，重要的稽核事宜
5.主文前幾個字，編目員自訂題名時，應盡量著錄主文的前幾個字，只供使用者鑑別之用
◆修士抄寫這些書本，會有獨特的字體和精美的插畫，所以必須特別著錄下來!!
